Dr. Robinson has served our community with over 25 years of dedicated service. His expertise spans general, vascular, and thoracic surgery.
He is known for his meticulous approach to patient care. His calm demeanor and compassionate bedside manner put patients at ease, even when facing complex procedures. Whether he’s performing a routine appendectomy or complex aortic reconstruction, Dr. Robinson’s commitment to excellence shines through.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Robinson actively participates in medical education, contributing to the development of the next generation of physicians.
Dr. Robinson graduated from The University of Washington School Of Medicine; he then completed his residency at The University of New Mexico School of Medicine in general surgery. Following this Dr. Robinson completed a fellowship at The Eastern Virginia Graduate School of medicine, specializing in Peripheral vascular surgery.
Richard T. Krug, M.D. F.A.C.S.
General and Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Krug has provided surgical care for the south sound for well over two decades. Ater pursuing education and training across the country, he returned to his hometown of Olympia to join Surgical Associates in 2000. He is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. He brings his exceptionally broad training and experience to bear to successfully manage complex medical and surgical problems. He has extensive experience with advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Krug attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine where he completed his medical degree; he then completed his residency at The University of California, Irvine of Medical Center for General surgery. Following that Dr. Krug completed his fellowship at The Pennsylvania Hospital, specializing in vascular surgery.
Rebecca A. Freeman, M.D. F.A.C.S.
General Surgeon
Dr. Freeman joined Surgical Associates after completing her minimally invasive fellowship at Brown University. She performs a variety of general surgical procedures to care for a wide spectrum of patients, but has a special passion for offering minimally invasive procedures. From Robotic surgery for reflux, hernias, colon cancer, diverticulitis to less invasive wireless localized breast cancer surgery to endoscopic placement of feeding tubes. She enjoys caring for the whole patient and the team approach Surgical Associates embodies.
Dr. Freeman obtained her medical degree through Baylor College of Medicine; she completed her residency at Brown University through the Department of General Surgery: Following her residency she completed a fellowship through Brown University Department of Surgery, specializing in Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Kathleen Turner, M.D. MASc
General Surgeon
Dr. Turner provides a fresh view on new and innovative procedures. She strives to provide each patient with high quality, evidence-based surgical management and appropriate use of surgical treatment. When outside of the office, she enjoys painting, cooking and hiking.
Dr. Turner graduated from The Wayne State University School of Medicine; she then finished her residency at The University of Colorado School of Medicine, in General Surgery.
Kaitlin Maasdam, ARNP
Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Kaitlin is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who moved to Washington in 2020 shortly after graduating with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. In addition to providing assistance in the operating room and during clinic procedures, she provides comprehensive pre- and post-operative care to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Outside of her professional life she enjoys being outdoors, frequently hiking or kayaking around the Pacific Northwest. Other interests include cooking, including experimenting with new recipes and sharing delicious meals with her husband, family, and friends. Her adventurous spirit also fuels a love for travel; being immersed in diverse cultures helps gain fresh perspectives to enhance her practice. She loves a good fiction book and relaxing with her two cats.
